A downloadable game

My first game!

This is a mini zine project, made with intention of it being a Solo Writing Game, but it's really not that hard to modify it for a multiplayer campaign. Feel free to download and play for free! You will need the printable files, a deck of playing cards, minimum of 1 D6 and a journal if you are playing solo.

SINGLE PLAYER

Get a notebook to keep track of your game, download the character cards (or make your own) and fill them out with your blorbos of choice. Print out the zine, fold it, and keep it tucked in your notebook for reference. Save a couple of pages at the start to write notes and keep track of the game's timeline and how each contestants perform.

Beginning by writing entries for each day of the game, divided into the Day and Night sections. You can write your entries In Character for maximum immersion (keep track of your rolls and stats at the end of each entry). How did your character fail their First Impression Check? If their Attitudes to the game clashes with other players, do they think someone is wimpy for being Afraid or are they scared of someone who seems to be Lovin' it a bit too much?

You can include as many characters as you want (take note that you will have to keep track of all of them) to make it feel like a suitably sized bloodbath. The game ends when you die, or you are the only (unlovable) contestant left. The only way to win is to win with love and leave the game with your lover/s.

MULTIPLAYER (GM-LESS)

Grab some friends (or just one other friend) and fill out all of your character cards. Add as many additional contestants as you guys want. You can date other players or compete for an NPC contestant's affections. Take turns rolling for your characters. Some notes and modifications for the rolling system:

For PLAYER vs NPC teams, you roll for yourself and it follows the same Loose : Win (123:456) system in the zine and in the solo game.  Basically if you pass your roll, the opposing team automatically looses ( if you rolled a 6 then they rolled a 1). They make the "opposite" roll as you.

For PLAYER vs PLAYER teams, both teams does a roll. If you get the same number, it is a tie. Players with higher rolls win (even if the higher roll is still a fail).

For Scapegoat games (everyone vs 1 character), the Scapegoat gets the roll regardless of them being NPC or PC. If an NPC is picked as the scapegoat for this game the whole table can roll 1 D6 together (or just like, have someone volunteer).

GM GUIDE

If you choose to play with a GM, the GM will take the role of Cupid! Cupid is an eldritch shadow entity that is putting this game together for a cosmic audience, and it has a cheerful but derogatory demeanor. Bring on the gameshow host persona, add a bit of analog horror, and you have Cupid. Cupid cannot be attacked, convinced, or interacted with beyond the games. It is unkillable, and won't cause direct harm to anyone. After all, this is a fair gameshow! Wouldn't want the audience to complain.

You as the GM can roll and draw a card for each game nights as it comes, or you can plan ahead how many games/what games will be played. Feel free to be creative or use suggestions for potential death game activities! You will also be in charge of all other NPC contestants. How closely you want to monitor each contestant is up to you eg. "The game started with over hundreds of people, but by the 5th day, there was only a handful left..." I will suggest to keep a couple of NPC contestants around for shenanigans though. They can keep pestering PCs to date them, cause problems, or be a love interest.

If you wish to play this as a part of another campaign, the gameshow host can be anyone of similar status within your world lore and the game can be hosted anywhere following some rules. The settings has to: be inescapable, have some common areas, contain all the games in itself. Contestants can all sleep together or have private rooms. Game areas are not accessible from midnight to 8 AM.

The audience can be played as an entity of its own, or just a part of the setting.

QUESTIONS and other considerations...

Monogamy/more complex attraction systems (Character A will automatically reject all Masc Contestants, Character B will automatically reject all attempts at flirting after gaining a Partner) can be discussed and modified amongst players if wished.

More detailed Character Cards/Sheets can be made to customize to each games

Seriously, go wild. And I will add more questions here when they come!

HAVE FUN!

And please tell me about the shenanigans and the mess in the comments if you do play it!
